I Accept The Current Reality
Acceptance
I wasn’t sure I could be brave enough to share this. Thinking someone might take it out of context or not understand my intentions. For I know for me too saying this aloud makes my skin crawl. Though it keeps whispering in my heart beating the drum of truth within me to listen and hear what it has to share.
I accept the current reality.
It beats. What’s under this tone this jarring rhythm that plays?
It is the truth. The truth of what is here. The truth that we have become afraid to accept our reality. We have convinced ourselves it is sinful to not fight tooth and nail for change. Fight tooth and nail with each other. Fight tooth and nail with ourselves. How dare you accept yourself right now? How can you not long to be better? How dare you be okay with now? How dare you not think of tomorrow?
How dare you accept your reality.
This noise has become so loud. It vibrates under my skin to make me shutter when my little hearts tries to play the beat, “I accept the current reality”
I tried to sit in the discomfort letting the crawling crawl under my skin. Letting it crawl, it eventually settled and I could ask my heart what it’s beat is meaning?
The heart speaks,
“You can only truly see when you remove your judging mind. You can only truly see when you’re not trying to see what is not here. You can only truly see when you’re not carrying your fears into your sight. You can only truly see when you have not made up your mind of what would have been right.
You can only truly see when you accept your current reality.
Not fighting, not biting, not hating. These have never brought real change, for what resist – persist.
For nature knows to grow is to exist.
The tree does not fight, it does not hate, it does not judge. But the tree grows taller, changes all long.
When the human runs around in a rush determined to fight at once. For they will bring the change, the change that is felt to be a must. They can NOT grow for they are not here they are THERE! And THERE!!! They are in their minds, and they are in their fears.
Only if they could see their fears only create more pain, more to fear, because if they were here….If they were truly here, nature could take its course and all would grow just right and just as it must.
Fight only creates more fight and makes us lose all our sight.
So please, accept the truth. Accept this place right here and now.
Don’t underestimate the need to feel and stay in the feeling of HERE for a while.
Don’t resist when you could exist.
For your presence is enough.
Just trust, don’t rush.
You are needed here, it’s a must.”
As I sit here with these words from my heart. I find a stretching, a type of stretching I can only see as the natural course of growth. Let’s stretch our understanding. Stretch our hearts.
The biggest change we can make is to stop wishing things were different. We would be different if we didn’t fight reality but if we accept it and spent time with it non judgmentally to truly understand, to truly see, to truly feel what is here. Because until we are HERE we can NOT grow from here.
Especially now, when there is a big screen projecting out fear and hate. The biggest rebellion I believe one can do, is to still project love and presence.
Accepting reality is to truly know, feel, witness, and understand what is here.
The most interesting truth is that this beat of the words “I accept the current reality” started days and days ago. Before the recent events. I believe it was last Sunday I started to plan to share this truth for my weekly Friday post, and even then days & days ago it felt as scary to push against the grain and make such a statement. And then this week happened. Some personal saddening news and then saddening news in our country. But the beat continued to challenge me “accept the current reality” I didn’t want to. But that is usually a clue to lean into it. A clue to see what’s hiding under this rock of resistance. So I decided to be brave and share this message for whatever it might mean for your heart at this time.
Can we let our presence in our life be enough? Enough to trust that true real growth will come once we are planted in this moment right here and now?
It starts in our heart.
Internal ~> external.
Let’s exist today. Because today needs our presence, it needs our hearts to feel it.
So it can understand it enough to grow from it.
Practice & Play
Wishing you free,
